Sarah holds a degree in Counseling Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has six years of experience in the counseling field and has always been passionate about supporting and journeying with the vulnerable in our society. Throughout her career, Sarah has worked with children in the Juvenile Justice System, victims of Post-Election violence, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and survivors of SGBV. Her experience has driven her to create a better, safer, warm, and non-judgmental environment for these individuals. Despite being ostracized, ridiculed, and misunderstood in the world, Sarah strives to ensure that whenever they walk into her therapy room, they are believed and heard.
Wounded Healers International is a safe haven for individuals like these and many others. Being part of the Board means that Sarah will be part of something bigger than herself, something impactful, and it will give her a chance to impact society in her own small way and help make a difference in the life of every person she meets in the organization. It would be an honor for Sarah to be a part of the decisions that will positively impact the individuals who walk through the doors of the organization. She will work to ensure that whenever opportunities arise for her expertise to be of use, she will offer her services fully and wholeheartedly to ensure the organization's goals are met.
