We envision creating a City of Peace Village in Kenya, a sanctuary of perfect happiness where people from around the world can gather to inspire and uplift one another in a serene environment.
Since its establishment in 2018, Wounded Healers International has seen numerous stories of transformation among women and girls, particularly those who are survivors of sexual violence. Through education and empowerment, many individuals have not only survived but thrived.
We now understand that genuine, lasting change begins with a shift in mindset. New habits and skills can only take root when we become mindful, self-aware, and comprehend the profound connection between our bodies and minds.
Over the years, we have observed that many in our community, especially women, rarely have the opportunity to step away from the daily challenges to focus on their health and well-being.
Our current City of Peace is a small, rented space that can only accommodate 15 women who must share tight quarters on a mere 1/8 acre of land. This limitation has driven us to dream bigger—envisioning a sprawling 30-acre property where we can support more people and expand our programs.
We are now embarking on a new chapter: building a community model for women and girls to retreat, heal, be inspired, and find motivation. This peaceful sanctuary will welcome both local and international women, offering a magical natural environment to process thoughts, have fun, and learn new self-care and wellness practices to incorporate into daily life. They will meet like-minded women and share a beautiful, transformative experience here.
This new center will provide more than just a retreat—it will offer a way to spend more time in well-being and less stress, sickness, unhappiness, and worry.
Join us in creating this haven of hope and healing where women can grow, thrive, and inspire one another. Together, we can build a brighter, more empowered future.
